It is one of the most important mountain ranges in Galicia. The fauna and flora are rich and varied, with the Bidueiral standing out in particular.
The Bidueiral is a natural area between the municipalities of Montederramo and Vilar de Barrio. This area preserves one of the best-conserved birch forests in Galicia. Here, it is possible to undertake a 22 km approved hiking route that starts in the parish of Gabín. But nature is not the only incredible thing about this place; its trees have witnessed the legend of Romasanta, the “Galician werewolf.”
